HOUNDS OF LOVE came to me at a very important time in my lyfe.... i discovered this album around may of 2021, only a few months after i was hospitalized and as i was in the process of transferring schools . HOUNDS was the second kate bush album that r3ally struck a chord with me and accompanied me on a trip across the country . this album holds a speicial place in my heart :3

HOUNDS OF LOVE is KATE BUSHs 5th studio album, released in 1985. BUSH was 27. the album is composed of 12 songs and is divided into TWO CORE SECTIONS: HOUNDS OF LOVE, containing the first 6 songs, and the conceptual THE NINTH WAVE, containing the latter 6.
BUSH chose A DEAL WITH GOD as the lead single for HOUNDS OF LOVE. her label fought for CLOUDBUSTING to be the first release instead, beleiving the use of GOD in the songs title could get it blacklisted. BUSH agreed to compromise by changing the title to RUNNING UP THAT HILL so long as the track could still be the lead single. she has stated that she regrets this choice, as it takes away from the meaning of the song.
